Congratulations if you’ve had a new addition to your family! Whether your child is newborn or older, we’d love to celebrate with you.
Most parents ask about a christening — or baptism, which is the same thing. The first thing we’ll arrange with you is a Thanksgiving Service, following Jesus’ example, who ‘took the children in His arms, put His hands on them and blessed them’. We thank God for the gift of your child and ask His blessing, within our 10.30am Sunday service. Nothing to promise, and no fee.
Baptism involves significant promises before God — about your own faith, and about bringing your child up to follow Christ. If, after the thanksgiving, you’d like to explore it, we’d be glad to help you.
